jay the accidental social oovegan?: I'm Allergic to everything: *corn *soy *dairy *wheat *cane sugar I'm also following weight watcher's online points diet for medical reasons. I have struggled to enjoy what I used to love-FOOD. I used to be GAINING weight on a very restricted diet. wth? I am in my second year on the journey to find the joy in one of the big joys in life again. So far, with weight watcher's points and now a yeast-free diet I can enjoy foods I like such as avocados, chickpeas and Moroccan mint tea. I'm beginning to lose weight and get my food groove back. Last year I had a scare with possible kidney disease or CKD. After a year of a VERY restricted ovovegan diet, I have beaten it! my labs are normal and dialysis is NOT in my future! I am so curious about the food supply industry and watch a lot of films with an open mind. The images haunt me and I cannot bear it if an animal is tortured. Its a personal decision for each person. For me, having meat puts acid in my system and weight on my body, so its few and far between. I have lost 14 lbs and my skin has never looked better.
